"Colours" Single by Social Climb

Social Climb is a 5-piece alternative rock band from Manila, Philippines. They are comprised of Emilio Sena on vocals, Jiggy Santos on bass and vocals, Jeric Santos and Joseph Dineros on guitars, and Neil Sandico on drums. The band is also under Instant Ramen Party, an independent music collective and distribution label.

When you're tired

with your mundane

and repetitive city life

and you just want to escape

to be one with nature-

that is what Colours is about.

The song is about escaping the mundane life to have a breather from the city with your friends. A discovery of an entirely different world out there through nature's landscapes and scenery while appreciating it.

Social Climb wants the listeners to feel the colours that the world offers us; it's all around us. Inspired by the funky indie pop rock such as boy pablo and the math rock riffs of Delta Sleep, TTNG, and Chon.

The song itself plays to its funk roots through all the guitar playing will also appealing to fans of indie rock with the vocal melodies. My favorite part would be the instrumental towards the end - sounding like a separate math rock instrumental track. It shows promise as to what the band can achieve. We can only hope for them to get better and hone their skills more!
