"summer 1999" EP by billz

Billie Dela Paz just released her debut EP summer 1999 under the artist name billz! She shows off her musical gifts throughout the project with somber soundscapes and multiple layers with some songs sounding like an Oh, Flamingo! b-side. The colorful and nostalgic album cover as well as the excitable and perky billz persona is just a mask to hide all the negative emotions discussed in the songs. Dealing with PTSD, anxiety, depression, toxic relationships, and being jaded, the project deals with tragic emotions that are more open for discussion now but were taboo years ago. I hope that the artist is in a better place now and that listeners dealing with these emotions find their support system.
