"Walang Panginoon ang Lupa" Album by Artista ng Rebolusyong Pangkultura

Artista ng Rebolusyong Pangkultura (ARPAK) is a Metro Manila-based artist organization that aims to amplify and support farmers’ calls and struggle for genuine agrarian reform, food security, and rural development.

In commemoration of October Peasant Month 2022 and amid a worsening food crisis in the Philippines, ARPAK released “Walang Panginoon ang Lupa,” a 13-track album made by members of ARPAK and other artist-advocates who are part of the network. The album features tracks from switchbitchRun DeliksDJ LovebugPryShockpointLimbsFLESHWOUNDgallowshack.//administratorspore, and Asoge.

The album underlines feudalism—the monopolistic grip of local landlords and the landless or near landless state of nine out of 10 farmers—as one of the roots of widespread poverty and chronic hunger in the Philippines. Aside from showing the semi-feudal conditions of Filipino farmers, “Walang Paningong ang Lupa” is an invitation to participate directly in their fight for genuine land reform, food security, and rural development.

JLE Music is independently run and aims to keep supporting artists. Please visit www.buymeacoffee.com/janlor to support the site and get advanced content too! Sponsors are also welcome. Thank you!
