Starry by Nathan Pex Music Video Premiere

It’s 2021 and we’re still under lockdown one year into this pandemic. Though I miss watching live shows, online shows will have to do for now and this newest show was a breath of fresh air. It was a surprise show for me - Lex invited me to the show just this morning and why wouldn’t I support him?

The Starry by Nathan Pex Music Video Premiere was produced by Lovely Beings and happened in Discord with a simulcast over on Facebook. The line-up was very diverse with genres spanning ambient house music to pop punk and also spanned the globe. There were artists from the US and London aside from locals who shared their time and talent for the show. Floating Sound Nation started the evening with trippy sounds and transcendent visuals. Two Sides of a Coin followed up with some mosh-pit opening pop-punk. Daylo Tapec from London slowed things down with RnB. Youngsleepyboi brought his signature lofi beats and video game samples. Ran Out of Soap from the US played a quick heart-wrenching acoustic that left the audience wanting more. Lastly, Nathan Pex played a short indie alternative set before playing his music video. The video - produced by The Starving Artist and directed by Lex Celera - was a contemplative head trip into the mind of a person who’s lost in the thoughts of longing for someone. It made me want to dive into more music from the artist and watch the video one more time. Good job!

The event was strangely quick - starting on time and ending after only an hour - but felt very well produced with great visuals and entertainment - they even had games after the event with prizes.

After the success of the music video premiere, I’m looking forward to more events from Lovely Beings and more music from Nathan Pex.
