"collide" Single by othered

I don't know which of Johann's bands or friends this was written for but I'm glad it got released! The reverb on collide washes over the track and engulfs the listener from start to finish and the melodies give a cold and somber vibe - like listening to Megumi Acorda on a rainy afternoon. dis.placed’s vocals add to the haunting tension perfectly while Rjay’s bass fill in the low tones smoothly. The ending explosion drives the emotion home and I wouldn't have minded if it lasted a bit longer. I can imagine this being played by Polar Lows with the massive guitars and crashing drums filling up the entire ending portion. Overall, it's a good inclusion for any emotional shoegaze playlist.
