"Last Flight" Single by Plastic Butter

Book your seats! “Last Flight” is ready for take-off today! Your ride through summer 2021’s soundscape of isolation and connection, despair and hope, loss and love.

DAVAO CITY - Plastic Butter’s single, “Last Flight” is the first song out of an upcoming five-track EP, entitled Plastic Heartbeat which is also set to be out within the year. All the songs in the EP were recorded during the 2020 lockdown. Barring the unforeseen quarantine restrictions to work together, each band member recorded their pieces from their respective DIY home studios remotely.

The album was co-produced with the award-winning, Jerome Velasco; notable for his work in the past with The Teeth, Pupil, Ely Buendia and NU Rock Awards’ Producer of the Year in 2008. With the band members’ diverse music influences mostly coming from the 90’s rock era, he helped the band tie-up the pieces together that brought a dreamy and ethereal vibe to the song.

The song oozes 90’s nostalgia with their riffs and overall tone while the airy and melodic vocals shine against the grungy backdrop. Looking forward to more music from them!

Plastic Butter's music bashed the airwaves of Davao and Cagayan since 2005. One of the award-winning local indie scene pioneers of the South in the early 2000's, recognized for their outstanding efforts in introducing electronic music in Mindanao - bagging Best Pop and Rock Artist of the Year for consecutive years in the Muzika Del Sur Music Awards.

Disbanded in the year of 2009, the band reunited after 10 years for some unfinished business; and the rest is history about evolving and coming back together as they continue to explore and rediscover their passion for music.
