"The Circuit Has Been Closed" Single by Ciudad

Quarantine is not stopping Ciudad from releasing new music! The Circuit Has Been Closed is their latest release and first single distributed by Island Records Philippines. As Mikey wrote, he song is inspired by the "New Jack Swing" genre that was prominent in the early 90's and suddenly forgotten by most listeners. The song also features a hiphop flare with verses from Switchtrik and Michelle, a rare genre mix in the Ciudad catalogue but works with the funky beats in the song.

A great addition to the single release are remixes by DMAPS, Squid9, JiggaWho?, and Bass Relief as the band's homage to 12" and 7". Each guest made the song into their own - DMAPS turned the song into a lofi gem with simplified beats, Squid 9 turned the song into a techno club banger, JiggaWho? transformed the song into a hiphop track, and Bass Relief made the song into an R&B hit.
