"Omen" by Single by Obsolete.

Here's Melt Records' first release of the year for 2021 - Obsolete.'s new single Omen - the final part of his debut trilogy of singles - is out now on streaming via Bandcamp, Apple Music, and more. The single is also available for download via iTunes and Bandcamp.

"I wanted to write a song that featured a 'mirrored' song structure so I started playing around with a bunch of riffs", says bandleader Francis Cang. "It didn't come out exactly as planned but I'm still pretty happy with it. We tracked the entire song in two days with only 7 smoke breaks."

Obsolete announce the end of its trilogy with a ticking bomb in the intro and proceed to induce suspense up until the explosion to signal the next section. The instrumentation continues to induce dread and suspense until the end with a proper send-off for the trilogy filled with the crashing of cymbals and a loop back to the ticking from the intro.

"Omen", same as the previous two parts Ashes and Thin Air, features artwork by Inodoro™ and original photography by Paolo Ong. As for what's in store in 2021 after this trilogy, Obsolete. promises more new music ahead, so stay tuned!
