The second part of Obsolete.‘s trilogy, a brand new single called Thin Air, is out now on your favorite digital streaming platforms and on Bandcamp! The track follows the previously released Ashes.

“I wrote the entire piece in phases – mapped out the main melody and chords in my first few recording sessions, then had the drummer play over the entire thing,” says Francis, the man behind Obsolete., on the production of the song. “I then added all the other ambient layers to give it that dark, apocalyptic vibe that I wanted it to have.”

With a run time of about 7 minutes, the song is no slouch. Starting with an ambient drone continuation from the end of Ashes, Thin Air takes the listener to a journey from despair to hope - fitting for a movie or game finale.

The single’s artwork is designed by PJ Ong (Inodoro™) with original photography by Paolo Ong. The art for Thin Air maintains the carefully-crafted themes in the visual design, mirroring what Francis Cang has to offer in his musical trilogy.

The trilogy concludes on January 8th, 2021, with the release of the final part OmenWatch out for it!
