"Winter" Single by Hannah + Gabi

Hannah + Gabi just released a new single and his first under Island Records Philippines - Winter! Mikey’s ability to make a whimsical and catchy song is in full display. From the playful piano to the rhythmic guitar and bass drum, you’ll be bopping your head along for the whole duration of the song.

For a country that doesn’t experience the stated season, Winter is more than the wonderland we normally associate the season with. In his own words:

This song, together with the upcoming sister song in a couple of weeks, "Thoughts They Disappear," was written at a period when I was experiencing a creative rut and seemingly ran out of things to write about. So I did a meta thing and wrote about that - my actual creative rut. That's why it's called "Winter" because I felt like I was stuck in a long winter, and was looking forward to the springs and the summers and the autumns once again. I never imagined that this feeling would become relevant again today for all of us, as we all experienced a very long winter in 2020, and are still going through it now (the pandemic is still not over).

So there, this one is a little message of hope, and sort of like a hug from me, saying that it's okay to be stuck in winter, I'm also here with you.
